ESI Analyst Releases New In-Thread Selective Tagging

Update Increases Speed and Efficiency of Text Message Review Allowing Item Level Tagging in 24-Hour Thread View

ESI Analyst, the first SaaS based electronic discovery investigation and review platform to ingest text-based communications at the individual message or “item” level while dynamically reconstructing 24-hour chat threads, announces their new “in-thread” tagging functionality.

Users can now apply issue tags to either an individual message within a thread or bulk tag specific groups of messages in ESI Analyst’s 24-hour thread view format using the product’s new item-level tagging functionality. This innovative and forensically sound electronic discovery approach to chat-based communications and text messages allows preservation of each message’s metadata as it existed on the original device. This empowers legal teams to manage control numbering, tagging and production at an individual message level while still being able to view and produce a chat conversation in full context.

“Addressing matters of privilege and confidentiality at the item level are of the utmost importance in this day and age of mixed communications,” stated Trent Livingston, CEO of ESI Analyst. “Keeping pace with today’s modern forms of digital evidence requires outside the box thinking and a creative approach to the changing landscape of ediscovery. We continue to deliver on that promise to our Partners.”

ESI Analyst stands out as a pioneer in modern data discovery and investigations, combining traditional document review with multiple forms of modern-day communications and disparate data types while reducing overall discovery spend. ESI Analyst allows legal teams and forensic investigators to tell the entire case story by combining multiple sources of digital evidence in a single platform.
