CloudNine Forum And Events Made For A Great Week

Legalweek is the premiere annual showcase for the latest in technology focused on the legal market. Technology companies often standardize their sprint cycles to have their major releases ready for mid-to-late January in time for the Legalweek festivities. Tidal Change Technologies, Inc. ("TCT"), with their flagship product ESI Analyst, was no different. Demonstration schedules were packed as TCT executives hosted many top-tier providers and law firms seeking an in-depth look into the unique capabilities of ESI Analyst.

Guests were welcomed by Mr. Trent Livingston and Mr. Rick Clark at the Warwick hotel situated across from the Legalweek venue at the New York Hilton Midtown Manhattan. Situated high on the 18th floor with a view looking straight down on 6th Avenue, visitors were able to relax for the hour while they shared their current workflows, eDiscovery technology stacks, and current gaps. They learned how ESI Analyst can improve their digital investigations that span disparate and dynamic data types. Feedback from attendees highlighted that ESI Analyst can be utilized not only in law firm investigations and discovery but in Federal, State, and Local investigative arms of the government, as well as in cases of insurance fraud and private investigations.

CloudNine Forum - Booth 310 & 312 At Legalweek

Mr. Livingston was also flattered to be invited to speak at the CloudNine Forum, presenting a TED-style talk entitled, "Connecting the Dots in Investigations: Empowering your ESI Technology Investment with Metadata Analysis". All the activity and positive feedback reflected that the industry is clamoring for a platform like ESI Analyst that empowers digital investigators, legal teams and their clients to quickly isolate and extract relevant information and actionable intelligence from a wide variety of ESI in order to speed strategy development and improve matter collaboration and communication, while reducing overall case costs.

CloudNine acquired multiple products from Lexis Nexis in the Spring of 2018. This included  Concordance, LAW, and Early Data Analyzer, now called CloudNine Explore. These products, with thousands of users in these systems daily, are highly important to the legal industry. With their vital and diverse eDiscovery suite, they set up an industry-thought leadership forum at their booth during Legalweek. Speakers included Craig Ball, Amy Sellers, Janice Jaco, Doug Austin, Michael Quartararo, Mary Mack, Tom O’Connor, Kelly Twigger, Brandon Law, as well as TCT's own Trent Livingston. The forum was a great place to demonstrate the importance of metadata analysis as a necessary addition to corporate legal teams, law firms, government agencies, and service providers seeking ways to lower costs while understanding the full context of their data sets.

2019 Corporate EDiscovery Hero Awards

The evening of celebration was created to honor corporate legal professionals and teams that demonstrate excellence in eDiscovery, legal operations and litigation response. After the awards were presented, industry thought-leader, Craig Ball, interviewed Pulitzer Prize and best selling author Bob Woodward. Woodward is best known for his work on the Richard Nixon Watergate scandal that led to Nixon’s resignation as President of the United States.

This year’s award winners:

  •  Guardian Award: Robert Levy, ExxonMobil
  •  Trailblazer Award: Cecil Lynn, PayPal
  •  Maximizer Award: Sonya Judkins, Sprint
  •  Smooth Operator Award: Michelle Spak, Duke Energy

The Hon. Shira Scheindlin Lifetime Achievement award was given to the Hon. John M. Facciola for his career accomplishments.

ACEDS, in conjunction with CloudNine and Compliance Discovery Solutions, was held at the Ruths Chris Steakhouse in midtown and was teeming with industry veterans and thought leaders. For many it was the best place to reunite with colleagues in an open setting. The location was completely packed, so it looks like they will be looking for a larger location in the future. TCT was honored to be in attendance and excited to be part of this wonderful ACEDS tradition during Legalweek.

Post Show Update

As a result of feedback from the tradeshow, as well as recent meetings and demonstrations, ESI Analyst is excited to release its new direct print functionality, allowing investigators to quickly isolate and produce key information via ESI Analyst's robust reports.
